Essex Physical Therapy is located in Tappahannock, VA.
We provide physical therapy services to the Northern Neck, Middle Peninsula, and surrounding areas.
Essex Physical Therapy was established in 2005 by the husband and wife team Russ and Jill Lewis. They met at physical therapy school at the Medical College of Virginia-Virginia Commonwealth University. Russ is a native of the Northern Neck of Virginia.

After graduating Russ and Jill spent a few years as traveling physical therapists before they married and returned to Russ’ hometown area. They worked in Tappahannock for about 10 years in home health and outpatient physical therapy prior to opening Essex Physical Therapy.
Our therapists provide the highest quality, caring, individualized, one-on-one outpatient therapy. You will find our office environment very friendly, compassionate, fun and family oriented. Your individual patient needs are our priority and the framework for your treatment plan. We love seeing our patients strive to meet and often exceed their goals.
Since 2005, the staff has grown and the office has relocated and expanded several times. Our current location is located in the middle of Tappahannock in a modern 3750 square foot building---Essex PT occupies 2730 sq ft.
